Other research has inquired into the relationship between intestinal inflammation, stress and the appearance of alterations in the epidermis of the skin, the outer layer. The infection worsens because the skin stops producing antimicrobial peptides.
If this is added to the imbalance of the intestinal flora, there is the release of the so-called substance P, a neuropeptide that directly affects the skin.
Improve the health of the intestine and skin
If the cause of the skin problem lies in the health of the intestine, there are a number of tips that should be put into practice. Tips that include a review of the diet and natural remedies:
- Increase water intake to improve hydration of the body and promote the elimination of debris and dead cells that accumulate in the outer layer of the skin.
- The color of urine is a good indicator of health and body water level. If our body is well hydrated, it will be a pale yellow color.
